Radiant Para Cricket League India – The World Series
Where Sport Becomes a Celebration of Human Spirit
The Radiant Para Cricket League India – The World Series, organized in association with the DCCBI (Divyang Cricket Control Board of India), represents far more than a sporting tournament—it is a global movement dedicated to inclusion, dignity, resilience, and human excellence.
At the heart of this initiative stands Aushim Khetarpal, a pioneering former sports promoter whose contributions to Indian sport span decades. Long before embarking on his spiritual and humanitarian journey, Aushim Khetarpal played a significant role in promoting sporting excellence and creating platforms that brought athletes, institutions, and communities together. Today, that same vision continues through his unwavering commitment to empowering para-athletes and ensuring that talent is celebrated beyond physical limitations.
The successful international chapter of the Radiant Para Cricket League World Series in Sri Lanka marked a historic milestone, bringing together differently-abled cricketers and supporters from across borders under the shared values of courage, determination, and unity. The tournament showcased not disabilities, but extraordinary abilities—proving that true champions are defined by spirit, not circumstance.
The movement received tremendous encouragement from legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Nuwan Zoysa, whose support added further strength and visibility to this international initiative.
Aligned with the larger vision of the Sai Baba Peace Awards, the league promotes inclusion through sport, creating opportunities for para-athletes to inspire society while championing equality and human dignity.
Through the Radiant Para Cricket League, Aushim Khetarpal continues to build bridges between sport and social impact—demonstrating that when opportunity meets determination, barriers disappear and possibilities become limitless.

Radiant's Championship Triumph at the Pro Tennis League 2021
Where Sporting Excellence Met Visionary Leadership
The Pro Tennis League 2021 witnessed a spectacular chapter in Indian tennis as Team Radiant, owned by Aushim Khetarpal, emerged victorious and lifted the coveted championship trophy. Powered by an exceptional lineup featuring Indian tennis stars Ramkumar Ramanathan, Saketh Myneni, Prerna Bhambri, and other accomplished professionals, Team Radiant showcased skill, determination, and championship temperament throughout the tournament.
For Aushim Khetarpal, the victory represented much more than sporting success. Long before becoming known globally for his spiritual initiatives and humanitarian work, he established himself as one of India's pioneering sports promoters, consistently creating platforms that celebrate talent, inspire youth, and elevate Indian sport on larger stages.
The tournament also witnessed a unique blend of sport and inspiration through the unveiling of the title song from Aushim Khetarpal's upcoming sports film "Chal Jeet Le Ye Jahan." Sung by legendary playback singer Sukhwinder Singh, the anthem became an emotional highlight of the league, perfectly capturing the spirit of perseverance, ambition, and victory.
For Aushim Khetarpal, sports and spirituality have never been separate journeys. Both teach discipline, faith, resilience, self-belief, and the pursuit of excellence. Whether empowering athletes on the court or inspiring seekers through spiritual discourse, his vision remains unchanged—to help individuals discover their highest potential.
The triumph of Team Radiant stands as a shining example of that philosophy in action.

Where leadership, entertainment and humanity played on the same team — a charity cricket match for the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
In October 2015, at a time when millions were rebuilding their lives after the devastating Nepal earthquake and communities across India were grappling with drought and hardship, Aushim Khetarpal conceptualized, organized and executed a landmark charitable sporting initiative that united the nation for a greater cause — the Prime Minister's Match: Arise Challenge Trophy 2015.
Held at New Delhi's iconic Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, the historic encounter brought together an extraordinary lineup of Parliamentarians and celebrities in a unique Parliamentarians vs Bollywood & Television Stars Charity Cricket Match, with proceeds dedicated to humanitarian relief through the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
The Parliamentarians' team was led by then Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Sarbananda Sonowal, and featured prominent national leaders including Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Kiren Rijiju, and several distinguished parliamentarians. Facing them was a star-studded celebrity side comprising leading actors and television personalities, including Gajendra Chauhan, Armaan Kohli, Siddharth Shukla, Ashutosh Kaushik and other well-known faces from the entertainment industry.
The event culminated with the presentation of the prestigious Arise Challenge Trophy by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, celebrating not merely sporting excellence but a collective commitment to compassion, national service and social responsibility.
More than a cricket match, it was a powerful demonstration of how sports can unite policymakers, artists, athletes and citizens in support of humanitarian causes. Under the leadership of Aushim Khetarpal, the Prime Minister's Match became a symbol of national solidarity — proving that when purpose transcends profession, every run scored becomes a step towards rebuilding lives and restoring hope.
A match for charity. A platform for unity. A legacy of service beyond the boundary line.
A visionary mission to empower India's para champions on the road to the Tokyo Paralympics.
"Radiant in Quest of Gold" was much more than an award ceremony — it was a transformational movement envisioned by Aushim Khetarpal, Chairman of the Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation (SSBF), to support India's differently abled athletes and align with the national vision of inclusion, empowerment and sporting excellence.
The initiative began as a collaborative effort between Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation, the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd., with the objective of identifying, nurturing, sponsoring and professionally training India's most promising para-athletes for international competitions, including the Tokyo Paralympics. The programme adopted ten elite para-athletes and provided them with much-needed financial and training support.
The grand "Radiant in Quest of Gold" Award Ceremony, held at The Lodhi, New Delhi, celebrated the extraordinary achievements of India's para champions who had brought glory to the nation through their courage, resilience and sporting excellence.
Among the distinguished athletes associated with and honoured through the initiative were:
• Sundar Singh Gurjar — World No. 1 Javelin Thrower and Paralympic medalist.
• Vinay Kumar Lal — International para sprinter and Asian Para Games medalist.
• Ram Pal — International High Jumper and World Ranking athlete.
• Sandeep Chaudhary — International Javelin Throw athlete.
• Rohit Kumar — Discus Throw athlete.
• Arvind Kumar — Discus Throw athlete.
• Amit Kumar — Triple Jump athlete.
• Yogesh Kathunia — Paralympic Silver Medalist in Discus Throw.

Long before para-sports received widespread recognition, Aushim Khetarpal demonstrated remarkable foresight by creating a platform that brought corporate sponsorship, media attention and public support to athletes who were often overlooked despite their immense talent. His vision echoed the Government of India's commitment towards the upliftment and mainstream integration of differently abled citizens, proving that disability is never a limitation when determination meets opportunity.
"Radiant in Quest of Gold" remains a shining example of how sports can transform lives, inspire a nation and create champions who redefine the meaning of human potential.
The Radiant World Para Cricket League (RWPL) is more than a cricket tournament. It is a movement to celebrate sporting excellence, challenge perceptions of disability, and create opportunities for para athletes to showcase their talent.
CHANGING PERCEPTIONS. CELEBRATING CHAMPIONS. CREATING OPPORTUNITIES.
The inaugural league is an important step towards building a more visible and accessible platform for para cricket in India.
Held in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, from 6–11 October 2026, the inaugural season brought together six franchise teams for a celebration of cricket, determination, inclusion, and sporting ambition.
Organised by the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India (DCCBI) and promoted by Radiant, the league aims to bring para cricket closer to communities, inspire young athletes, and establish the sport as a serious competitive pursuit and potential career.
Players from India and other countries, including Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal, have been reported among the participants, adding an international dimension to the tournament.
Athletes should be recognised for their abilities, not defined by their limitations.
RWPL’s guiding belief
Each team brings together athletes united by a shared passion for cricket and the determination to compete at their highest level.

The franchise format gives players the opportunity to represent a team, build competitive identities, and become role models for aspiring para cricketers.
195 not out. 74 balls. One unforgettable innings.
One of the standout highlights associated with the inaugural league was an extraordinary batting performance by Aaqib Malik of the Bombay Mavericks.
Malik scored 195 not out off 74 balls, striking 17 fours and 15 sixes to help his team reach a formidable total of 280 for two wickets. Coming within five runs of a double century, his innings demonstrated remarkable power, precision, and composure.
The performance also drew comparisons with Luan-dre Pretorius’s reported 188 not out for the Titans against the Knights on 2 October 2026.
Beyond the numbers, the innings highlights the extraordinary batting talent para cricket can produce. It sends a message that ambition deserves opportunity and talent deserves recognition.
For too long, athletes with disabilities have had to fight not only for opportunities but also for recognition. RWPL seeks to change that narrative by placing para athletes at the centre of the sporting conversation.
Its message is simple: inclusion must go beyond words. It must create opportunities, platforms, recognition, and the freedom to pursue excellence.
The vision extends beyond major stadiums and conventional sporting venues, taking the game closer to communities and new possibilities.
Create opportunities for athletes to compete, be seen, develop their abilities, and earn recognition.
Help young people and families see para cricket as a real sporting opportunity and potential career.
Increase visibility for para sports and help create a stronger sporting ecosystem for athletes with disabilities.
According to Radhika Khetrapal, Co-Creator of the Radiant Para Cricket League, the league’s purpose extends far beyond organising a tournament.
The vision is to create a platform where young people can witness the abilities of para athletes, feel inspired by their achievements, and recognise para cricket as a genuine sporting opportunity.
Performances such as Aaqib Malik’s remarkable 195 not out demonstrate how sport can challenge perceptions more powerfully than words alone.
By combining competitive cricket with a broader social purpose, RWPL aims to contribute to a more inclusive sporting culture in India.
The league brings together sporting administration, event promotion, and a shared commitment to using sport as a platform for positive social change.
The inaugural season marks the beginning of an ambitious journey to make para cricket more visible, more accessible, and more widely celebrated.
Every aspiring player who finds encouragement, every family that begins to see sport as a possibility, and every spectator whose understanding of disability evolves represents progress towards a more inclusive sporting future.
